Some songs are about running away. Run Into the Fire is about the opposite. It’s about walking straight into the things we've been avoiding, because avoiding them never really worked anyway. Amine's vocals carry that choice all the way through, but it hits hardest in the break: just piano and voice, nothing else, the rawest moment on the record. It's the pause right before the jump. Then, the final chorus opens up with anthem-like vocals that feel like stepping into the light. The total opposite of what came before. And that's the whole point of the song: you don't get to the light without going through the fire first.
